Has been practicing since 1980 in the eye care industry.
He is a Board Certified Optometrist.
He is a member of Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Guthrie is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1980.
From his love of science and care for his patients, Dr. Guthrie has become expertly trained in ocular disease and treatment.
He specializes in Glaucoma monitoring and treatment and retinal evaluations relating to Diabetes, Macular Degeneration and other ocular diseases.
Dr. Guthrie’s office is equipped with many of the most modern technologies that help him provide quality healthcare.
This office has a tremendous amount of established patients who trust his thoroughness and enjoy his character.
Dr. Guthrie is lighthearted and loves to talk and joke with his patients.
The affiliation between Eyemart Express and Dr. Guthrie is a long-standing relationship and was begun in 1998 when his current practice was established at the corner of Pennsylvania and Memorial near Quail Springs Mall.
Dr. Guthrie is a general optometrist, but also specializes in eye diseases such as glaucoma and problems related to diabetes.
The practice has invested in state-of-the-art equipment. For instance, our fundus camera allows us to take pictures of the inside of the eye. Our Cirrus HD-OCT is invaluable for the treatment of diabetic eye conditions, retina problems, and glaucoma.
